Yes. It is a government Aided school.

Admission is available from pre-primary to 7^th standard.

The syllabus followed is Kerala state syllabus. All the subjects with out any omission is taught here in the school. The only change from normal school is that reading and writing is done in braille or on computer. No other change in topics or subjects.

Sports like Blind cricket, adapted table tennis, lawn tennis and  blind football, as well as indoor games like chess, carroms, ludo, snake and ladder etc. are taught and played for the students enjoyment, learning and better health.

All the students who are not able to follow print are taught braille and the low vision students are helped with large print or magnifier.

The school is equipped with braille, print and audio books in the library and the students get online library membership as they are able to use online resources with the training in mobile and computer.

The students are provided with speech therapy, physiotherapy and  behavioral therapy as per the need of the children.

The staff of the school and hostel take care of the students who need medication and proper medication is ensured.

There is an accessible park as well as a well built ground as well as cycles and other play equipment.

The students are taken out for sports, arts, and work experience competitions  in and out side Kerala as an when opportunities available.

The students are trained in vocal and instrumental music. Band training is provided and the school has a band troop.

It is a residential school with hostel for the visually challenged students.

Hostel facility as well as schooling including books, uniform, food, etc. are absolutely free.

Orientation and mobility is most important in the training of visually challenged children and we have trained trainers in Orientation and Mobility.

The school is a hi-tech school with computerized classes for standards 5, 6 and 7 and the computer classes for students begins in the very 1^st standard onwards.

All the students are trained in mobiles.

The students are provided with computers in the class with internet facility.

Periodical medical checkups in collaboration with Little Flower hospital Angamaly and nearby PHC are done in the school.

The students are having training in daily living skills.

The students are taken out for outing periodically and students from other schools are brought to our school to have interaction with each other.

The school is for the visually challenged students. Hence all the children with visual impairment are admitted here. If the multiple disabled children have visual impairment they also will be admitted.

The students are trained in 12 handicraft items to get finger coordination and to be able to take up simple project works as part of learning activities. The students do compete in these handicraft activities in the state work experience competition as part of science fair.
